Our Story
Our founders saw a disconnected Sudan missing from the digital economy. They launched Alsoug, an e-commerce platform that became Sudan's leading marketplace. Its meteoric rise proved a powerful truth: markets like Sudan would embrace technology with open arms.
Emboldened by this success, Cashi was born—initially as a payment solution for Alsoug. But demand was extraordinary. Through face-to-face field marketing, we proved merchants needed integrated CashiPax systems, and consumers needed a seamless way to move money.
When Sudan faced conflict and hardship, Cashi became a lifeline. Record downloads. Basic groceries purchased. Bills settled. Money received from abroad. MyCashi enabled what traditional banking could not. Today, we're Sudan's largest electronic payment network—and we're just getting started.
